I am off today. I have to prepare for my son's homecoming this evening. I am excited, nervous, anxious ... you name it! Why, you may be wondering? At my son's school, if you are a senior, then the mother will escort the son through the catwalk and the father will escort the daughters. As we are actually walking, they will read over the loud speaker a letter to me which my son has written. My son advised me that I was going to cry all the way ... I probably will, lol! It will be a night to remember.
The school my son attends is a private Christian school. I am very impressed at how they go all out to make the senior year special for the students. My son has already had two field trips; they will go for a week on their senior trip; they have senior a luncheon; this special time at homecoming; and numerous other things. It is great and something I think the students will remember for all time. It has been well worth the struggles I have had to endure to keep him there. Tuition is very fair, but it has been difficult for me to keep up with the tuition and the other costs. I have managed, through the grace of God, and I thank Him daily for His care and guidance through it all. Without Him, I would never have made it, nor would my son be the young man he is becoming.
My sister is doing great! Remember, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. She has been hospitalized several times. God again has been so awesome. He has turned everything around and contradicted about everything the doctors have speculated since the onset of this journey. She had a bit of a scare yesterday, but again it was nothing. How awesome is the God we serve? I cannot say that enough.
I am getting ready to read John Hagee's book entitled, The Three Heavens. My brother read it and he said it was quite informative. I had to purchase a copy. It speaks of the four blood moons which I am hearing a lot about lately. It basically deals with "the timeless clash between the Kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of Darkness and explains why that battle makes all the difference in this world and the world to come". Pretty intense, huh? Yes, it is but very important too! Check it out, "the blood moons" that is. It will make you ponder over a great deal!
Ok, I have to run. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I would love to hear from you guys sometimes. You know I have no way of knowing who you are when you visit my website. If you have a desire to write and do not wish for your identity to be known, then send me a note signed "anonymous". It works for me! Later!
